A "hidden treasure" located on Tangier Sound in Dames Quarter, Maryland near Deal Island and within view of the Chesapeake Bay.
The House
The Farm House is a beautiful, handicap accessible six bedroom vacation or coroporate meeting rental home with private baths in each room and a half bath on the first floor for general use. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, one of which is accessible, as is the rest of the first floor.
Also located on the first floor is a den with a gas fireplace (no need to carry in logs), a well lit dining area, a fully equipped and stocked kitchen that is open for use anytime day or night, and the breakfast room which offers a cozy place for enjoying the start of your day with friends and family.
The parlor room is a comfortable area for quiet reading, a small meeting, or if someone in your group is musical, a place to gather friends for singing and playing the piano.
The huge screened back porch has easy access from the den and kitchen making an outdoor meal a pleasant experience. If the night is warm, ceiling fans throughout the porch keep you cool. The large front porch offers a powered lift for wheelchair access to the house.
The second floor has four large bedrooms with private baths. One bedroom has a balcony. Also on the second floor is the laundry room with free (no coins needed) washer and dryer access.
Our rental retreat can accomodate a large family party or corporate meeting? The Farm House offers a large meeting room with plenty of chairs and tables. Ask for rates for use of this separate, adjoining facility.
The Grounds
The Farm House has plenty of space to spread out no matter what activities you have planned. Spacious side yards allow for games including croquet, volleyball and horseshoes. Huge shade trees make outdoor relaxation easy and enjoyable.
A small farm pond allows for fun exploration for kids and adults alike. Our bird feeders and bird houses attract all types of birds that can be enjoyed from the back porch.
For a special treat, go out to the chicken house and collect fresh eggs for your breakfast. Our chickens are always busy supplying you and your guests with farm fresh eggs and farm yard fun just watching when you toss table scraps to them.
If you are visiting us at the right time of year, our small vineyard offers tasty grapes for a cool, fresh afternoon snack.
